Exit Alarms & Panic Devices
Balancing security and life-safety at every commercial door — fully code compliant.

Your doors must keep intruders out while guaranteeing everyone can always get out. Installing the wrong lock on an emergency exit invites catastrophic consequences and legal liability. We are certified experts in life-safety hardware — consultation, installation, and service.
Panic Devices (Crash Bars)
Required by LAFD-enforced codes in assembly occupancies (theaters, restaurants, bars, schools) and any space with 50+ occupants. One push opens the door — no keys, no knowledge, no fine motor skills. Adding a secondary lock to a panic door is a serious code violation.
Rim Devices
Surface-mounted, simple, and extremely durable — the most common type.
Mortise Devices
Panic egress combined with the enhanced security of a mortise lock body.
Vertical Rod
For double doors without a mullion — latching at frame top and floor simultaneously.
Fire-Rated Hardware
All fire-rated exit hardware is panic-rated, but not vice versa — designated fire doors must have fire-rated devices.
Exit Alarms
For the classic dilemma — “this door must be an emergency exit, but I can’t leave it unsecured” — an exit alarm sounds instantly when the door opens: deterring shoplifter getaways in retail, propped back doors at restaurants, and internal theft at warehouses, while egress stays free.
We install heavy-duty hardware from Von Duprin, Detex, Adams Rite, and Sargent — to manufacturer spec, every time.
